Advocate Ganeshrao Nagorao Dudhgaonkar (also popularly known as Bapusaheb) is the native of a small village Dudhgaon located in the Parbhani district. Widely known in Maharashtra for his bold, dynamic and charismatic personality, he was first elected as a member of the legislative assembly (MLA) in 1980 on the ticket of Congress. He won this election from Vasmat (Current District: Hingoli) which was previously in the Parbhani district.
Impressed by his education, work as MLA & legacy of the legendary family, when the cabinet of the Chief Minister Shri Vasantdada Patil and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Ramrao Adik was formed in 1983, Adv Ganeshrao Dudhgaonkar became state minister (with independence Charge). With this cabinet rank, Adv Ganeshrao worked as Minister for employment, technical education and Sevayojana portfolios. During his tenure as a minister, he also served as the Guardian Minister of both Buldhana and Amravati districts.
In 1985, he was again elected as the MLA from Jintur (District: Parbhani) constituency. His rise as an impeccable social worker continued and he kept on conquering newer and bigger milestones. Adv. Ganeshrao Dudhgaonkar was main contender for CM post, during 1990’s. In year 2009, he became Member of Parliament from Parbhani constituency. Adv. Ganeshrao Dudhgaonkar did many developmental works during his career spanning 50 years. He helped many youths become MLA’s.
