Mr. Ajit Narain Haksar was a distinguished alumnus of Doon School, Dehradun and Allahabad University from where he graduated in Humanities. He obtained his MBA from Harvard Business School, USA. He joined Imperial Tobacco Company (now ITC) in 1948 and served in various capacities including Marketing Director and Deputy Chairman during his over three decades of association with the company. He became the first Indian to lead ITC as its Chairman in 1969. He was appointed as Chairman-Emeritus, ITC in 1983. Haksar's managerial success earned him numerous awards, such as Man of the Year Award, the Outstanding Industrialist Award, Businessman of the Year Award, among others. He was the only Indianprofessional manager who was enshrined in Business World Hall of Fame.

Arun Mairawas part of Tata Administrative Service for 25 years and worked at various important positions in the Tata Group till 1989. After leaving the Tata Group, he worked with Arthur D. Little in the US for 10 years where he was leader of the Global Strategy andOrganization Practice and Managing Director of Innovation Associates. He was also Chairman, Boston Consulting Group and thereafter member of the Planning Commission. Arun Maira is a thought leader and an author of several books on organizational and societal change. He has served on the boards of several companies, civil society organizations and education institutions. Presently, he is the Chairman of Help Age International.
Gurnam Saran

Gurnam Saran, after his engineering education in India and Britain started his career with Steel. He subsequently moved to BHEL and was part of the legendary team of Dr. V. Krishnamurthy that transformed the company. Subsequently he led BHEL’s productivity movement with international acclaim. Moving on as an Executive Director he turned around the Hardwar plant and stabilised the 500 MW technology . Thereafter he joined the Board and led BHEL’s diversification efforts into sectors like Defence, Aviation and Electronics. He was a Commonwealth Advisor to the PM of Fiji. After his BHEL innings he joined a number of MNC Boards but left them to support the founding of EMPI into a unique Educational Gurukul, wherein he led by example his value based educational philosophy.

Mr. N. Vittal has been Chairman, Telecom Commission and Secretary, Department of Telecommunication, GoI; Chairman, Public Enterprises Selection Board and Central Vigilance Commissioner. His experience of more than 35 years covers a wide spectrum with focus on industrial administration, science & technology and security. As Secretary to the Government of India, he initiated policies for boosting software, setting up of hardware and software technology parks and strategic alliances with industry. As Chairman, Telecom Commission he initiated the process of liberalization in the telecom sector. He is included in the list of "Fifty men and women who shaped the economy" in the fifty years after India's independence by the Business Today. He is the Honorary Fellow of the IETE.

Mr. P. S. Bami is an independent consultant providing advisory services on power sector reforms, utility management and power development in India Mr. Bami is the former Chairman and Managing Director of NTPC, a power generating company in India and fourth largest in Asia. He has been President of the India Energy Forum, a think tank in the energy sector. He was also Adviser (Power), Government of Orissa, India. He has more than 28 years of experience in planning, reorganizing and developing structures as well as systems and procedures, developing financial management systems, and organizing tariff formulation and tariff agreements of power utilities. He is a Board Member of Strategic Management Group, India, a recognized independent body of experts in management and economic field.

A Ph.D from Illinois & a Fullbright Scholar, Prof. S.P. Verma had been a Professor in the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), Government of India. His played an important role in setting up the Department of Public Administration of India's first Open University IGNOU. Apart from his academic assignments, Professor Verma had been on a number of important government commissions, the last being the Railways Reforms Commission. He had represented India in the EROPA General Assembly in Manila in 1987. He was a member, Governing Board of the IIPA and was on the Editorial Board of the Indian Journal of Public Administration. Professor Verma had also beenChairman of the Northern Region Selection Commission for National Talent Scholarship.
Tara Sinha

Ms. Tara Sinha had over fifty years of experience in Advertising, PR, External Affairs and Corporate Communication in England, India and the USA. Considered as the pioneer of Indian Advertising, she was the Founder Director of Clarion Advertising Services Ltd. (later Clarion McCann Advertising Services Ltd.). She has been associated with various communication campaigns for family planning, nutrition and other areas with Govt. of India. She played the role of an adviser on marketing and a range of other corporate areas involving relationship issues. She has written extensively in leading newspapers and magazines. He has been Science Attaché, Indian Embassy, Tokyo; Director in the Department of Science & Technology and Director (NISTADS) National Institute of Science Technology and Development Studies. Dr. D.V. Kapur is the founding Chairman & Managing Director of the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC). He has had an illustrious career in the government sector with a successful track record of building vibrant organisations and project implementation. Prior to NTPC, he also served at the Hirakud dam project, Punjab state electricity board, the Indian Railways, and BHEL in various positions. He has been secretary to the government of India in the ministries of power, heavy industry and chemicals & petrochemicals. He has been associated with a number of national institutions, including Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay; National Productivity Council, and IIM -Lucknow. In private sector, he served on the board of directors of Honda Siel, Tata Chemicals, Larsen and Toubro, Ashok Leyland, Reliance Industries and DLF.

Prof. Menon has been an internationally known physicist. He studied Advanced Physics from University of Bristol and obtained PhD degree in 1953. He has worked with Nobel Laureate Prof. CF Powell. He was Director of Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Bombay; Chairman, Commission for Additional Sources of Energy; Secretary to GoI for 12 years and Director General of CSIR and DRDO. He was member, Planning Commission; Scientific Adviser to the PM (1986-1989) and Chairman, Science Advisory Committee to the Cabinet (1982-1985); Minister for Science & Technology, as also for Education in the GoI and Vice President, Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) (1989-1990). He has been awarded with the Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan from thePresident of India.

Lt Col P S Satsangi, VSM (Retd), Army Education Corps, was the Founder Chairman of the All India Personality Enhancement and Cultural Centre for Scholars (AIPECCS) Society. His educational and professional experience was rich and varied. An early M.Sc (under 19 yearsage), Silver Medal at the Indian Military Academy, B.Ed (Chancellor Medallist) and M.Ed (Gold Medallist), he was Principal, Sainik School, Tilaiya, Bihar; Principal, Yadavindra Public School, Chandigarh; Chairman-cum-Principal, Rotary Public School, Gurgaon, and CSKM Public School, New Delhi. He has conceptualized major first of their kind National initiatives focussed on innovation and futurization like WTI, Innovation awards, Mobility festival etc. He co-founded India’s first planned Innovation city on Aerospace & Defence, a JV with AP Government. Dr. T. V. Rao is the Chairman of T V Rao Learning Systems Pvt.Ltd. He was a Professor at IIM-A from 1973 to 1994 and an Adjunct Professor since 1994. He was L&T Professor of HRD at XLRI, Jamshedpur. He was the Founder President of the National HRD Network and President of Indian Society for Applied Behavioral Science. He was part of the Administrative Reforms Commission to review the personnel management practices for Civil Services and a consultant to UNESCO, Bangkok; USAID Indonesia for the Ministry of Health, Indonesia: NERDA, Malaysia; FAO Rome; and the Commonwealth Secretariat, London. Dr. Rao has authored or co-authored or edited over sixty books in Organizational Behavior, HRD, Education Management, Health and Population Management, Entrepreneurship Development, etc.

Dr. Pareek is considered as the Father of HRD in India. He was a professor at IIM-A and later a distinguished visiting professor at IIHMR, Jaipur. He has been Chairman of the Governing Boards of Institute of Development Studies; AHRD; SAAP; the National HRD Network, ISABS etc. He was also a member of the academic advisory board of the global committee on the future of OD.He had been US-AID HRD/OD advisor to the Ministry of Health, Government of Indonesia; L&T Professor of Organisational Behaviour, IIM-A. He was the only Asian to become Fellow of the NTL and the onlyFellow from India of the Society for Study of Social Issues. He authored or edited about 100 books and more than 1000 papers.
